Vision Application and Support Files

As the Gibson/Opcode.com site seems to no longer exist, I'm posting the Vision Application and related files of interest as a public service to current Vision users unless forbidden by Gibson to do so. All files have had PACE copy protection removed (legally-don't worry).

All files are for Macintosh computers unless noted. OS 9.2.2 is the last recommended system to use, though SVP will run in older systems.
Note that SVP will NOT operate in OS X. However, SVP can be opened in Classic mode running under OS X.
The usual reason to do this is to open archived SVP files and convert them to Standard MIDI files for exportation to another application.
You will not, however be able to play or create new sequences in this mode as OMS is broken in OS X

SVP 4.5.1 The last version of Vision available. This version (which includes the necessary support files) includes digital audio features such as automation that is not included in
SVP4.2.2 The tradeoff is that it is slightly buggier (i.e. the notation window doesn't work properly) but most of the bugs have easy workarounds
as documented on Fred Meggs' Vision Info Site
SVP 4.2.2 This is the last stable version of SVP. It's missing some features of 4.5.1 as noted above.
SVP 4.2 (FAT) This version of 4.2 should run on 68k machines
SVP 2.5 for Windows This version was emailed to me by a user but some people have reported difficulty in getting it to work- buy an old Mac and save the hassle.
Support Files for SVP 4.x.x This is an archive of the necessary support files for SVP if you already have just the application
Font and keyboard layout files If you already have the SVP application but don't already have these additional files, you'll need them to operate SVP
Acadia for OS 9.x.x The latest Acadia available. Acadia is the name for the resource that allows the digital audio aspect of SVP to operate. If you plan to use
MIDI only, you do not need this file. Note that this file must appear in the same folder and at the same level as your SVP app.
If you are running OS 8.x or earlier you will need a different Acadia
Aloisen Font You need this font whether you use notation or not. No need to download this if you already have the support files archive listed above.
OMS 2.3.8 The last available version of OMS. You need to have OMS installed in order to run SVP and any MIDI based Opcode application.
Rewire Extension 1.1.0 This is the version of ReWire you need that is compatible with SVP. Later versions of ReWire are not compatible.
